AIR Mentorship is an initiative of the AI Research lab at Makerere University, Uganda committed to educating and bringing together people of all backgrounds with an interest in Artificial Intelligence, and aiding them to learn and become resourceful in the field. It is tutuored by members of the AI lab itself.

Artificial intelligence, far from being science fiction, is a technology with the potential to transform the economy and improve our lives. AIR Mentorship aims to build a community in Kampala around a common interest in Artificial Intelligence. Starting with 15 students in November 2018, we are just starting to build a base on which we shall train many.
